Pre-Season: Rangers 2 - 2 Arsenal

Arsenal had to settle for a draw in their second pre-season friendly, despite creating many chances in an entertaining match at Ibrox.

In their previous match, they lost 2-1 against Hibernian FC so this was a much improved performance and result.

Leon Balogun had headed Rangers ahead early on, but Arsenal struck back when new signing Nuno Tavares burst into the box to fire home right-footed.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang came close to giving The Gunners the lead on several occasions before Rangers scored again from a corner in the second half.

Arsenal finally got the goal their attacking endeavour deserved though, when Eddie Nketiah smashed home through a crowd.

More reaction from Arsenal

One Arsenal fan gave his opinion on Arsenal's transfer targets: "We are a few signings away from having a serious shot in the top four. Baku, Maddison, Johnstone. Please make it happen!"

Another fan was pessimistic when it came the club's chances: "We know the new faces arriving are Ben White & Lokonga but the problem is we're relying way too much on ESR for creativity. Auba is out of form. Laca, Nketiah ain't good enough.

"This means we need a CAM and a CF asap. I don't expect anything good until we sign these two players."

Thoughts from Rangers

After the match, Steven Gerrard spoke with Rangers TV. Their next game is a friendly against Blackpool on Wednesday night.
