An early preview for the next Ashes series

The 2021/2022 Ashes series will be played across Australia between 8th December and 18th January 2022.  Australia are the defending holders of the Ashes going into the series, they won in 2017-18 with the 2019 Ashes series ending in a draw. (A throwback to the 2010/2011 series that England won 3-1) Can Ben Stokes be the hero again? Despite losing the Ashes series, the summer of 2019 was great for Ben Stokes. In the One Day game, he was integral in England winning the World Cup. There was then that incredible afternoon at Headingley. Last time in Australia  The 2017/2018 series was basically a disaster for England. They lost the series 4-0, only drawing the fourth test. The Controversial Hundred

The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament involving men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. Despite praise from some, it has attracted a lot of negative comments The video above from Glamorgan Cricket Club tries to explain it. Why don't people like the idea? The decision to create a new format of cricket, with teams based in just seven major cities, has split opinion between traditionalists who favour the historic county cricket structure. One Lancashire Cricke t fan told us:  "Why can't the ECB just invest in the formats we already have? The various Twenty Twenty competitions that they've organised have been mostly successful and should be expanded on." A Twitter account named 'Love cricket - Oppose The Hundred' was set up.
