The Spanish will take great confidence from their attacking display but defensive errors will cause great concern.
Spain's own goal against Croatia was the first they have ever scored at the European Championships and it was BIZARRE. 🤯

Many people assumed that the next game couldn't possibly match that one. How wrong they were...
France were expected to beat Switzerland with some comfort but it really didn't work out like that.
France 3 - 3 Switzerland
Kylian Mbappe missed the crucial penalty as Switzerland beat France on penalties in the last 16 after a wonderful Euro 2020 game.
Paul Pogba had previously scored one of the goals of the tournament so far to give the French a 3-1 lead.

However the Switzerland roared back to take the game into Extra Time. Unlike Croatia, they were able to keep out their talented opponents and take the game to penalties.

What a day of football!
Some have argued on Twitter that this has been one of the best football days ever. Others however believe it doesn't quite match the dramatic FA Cup semi-final day of 1990. This also had a huge number of goals. Crystal Palace beat Liverpool 4-3 and Manchester United drew 3-3 with Oldham Athletic.
Jonathan Wilson believes it matches that day...
This might be the best day of football since the 1990 FA Cup semi-finals.
