What are the Razzies?

Outside of The Oscars, there’s an awards ceremony that aims to honour a group of films from a particular year.  The Razzies, known as the Golden Raspberry Awards, take a very different look at the film industry.  At each ceremony, there are a number of different awards. One of the more humorous awards was won by Con-Air in 1997. The film took home the award for ‘Worst Reckless Disregard for Human Life and Public Property'. Despite this award, it was also nominated for several Oscars in the same year. It’s not the only film to have been nominated for both awards. It has also happened to the Addams Family and Armageddon.   Who 'won' in 2021? The 41st edition of the Golden Raspberry Awards took place on April 24, 2021. Last time in Australia  The 2017/2018 series was basically a disaster for England. They lost the series 4-0, only drawing the fourth test. A rare England highlight came in that test when Alistair Cook hit an unbeaten 244.  Is it coming home? Winning the series will be a big ask for England. Their recent test form has been very inconsistent. This included a defeat against New Zealand. Getting a settled team together will be crucial as preparation for the

The Controversial Hundred

The Hundred is a 100-ball cricket tournament involving men's and women's teams located in major cities across England and Wales. Despite praise from some, it has attracted a lot of negative comments The video above from Glamorgan Cricket Club tries to explain it. Why don't people like the idea? The decision to create a new format of cricket, with teams based in just seven major cities, has split opinion between traditionalists who favour the historic county cricket structure. One Lancashire Cricke t fan told us:  "Why can't the ECB just invest in the formats we already have? The various Twenty Twenty competitions that they've organised have been mostly successful and should be expanded on." A Twitter account named 'Love cricket - Oppose The Hundred' was set up. One of their latest tweets said the following: Direct message us if you are willing to offer support. The way forward is to have members & supporters on the Boards & committees o

Will Norwich City perform better in the Premier League next season?

Or does another relegation season beckon for The Canaries?  Norwich City were crowned winners of the Championship last season, but attention has quickly turned to how they will get on in the Premier League. There’s definitely a lot for Norwich to consider as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.  Reversing the trend for newly promoted clubs Norwich were promoted during the 2018/2019 season but struggled in their Premier League campaign and went straight back down. This is a story that has been replicated this season. Following promotion from last season’s Championship, Fulham and West Brom’s stay in the Premier League was cut short after a relegation.  The Canaries might look to Leeds United for inspiration on how to survive and thrive in the Premier League. Leeds have impressed everyone with their style of play and have utilised the transfer market well.  Burnley are also worth looking at. Since they were promoted back to the Premier League in 2016, they have managed t
