An early preview for the next Ashes series

The 2021/2022 Ashes series will be played across Australia between 8th December and 18th January 2022.

Australia are the defending holders of the Ashes going into the series, they won in 2017-18 with the 2019 Ashes series ending in a draw.

Can Ben Stokes be the hero again?

Despite losing the Ashes series, the summer of 2019 was great for Ben Stokes. In the One Day game, he was integral in England winning the World Cup. There was then that incredible afternoon at Headingley.

Last time in Australia

The 2017/2018 series was basically a disaster for England. They lost the series 4-0, only drawing the fourth test. A rare England highlight came in that test when Alistair Cook hit an unbeaten 244.

Is it coming home?

Winning the series will be a big ask for England. Their recent test form has been very inconsistent. This included a defeat against New Zealand. Getting a settled team together will be crucial as preparation for the series starts to increase.

Following a number ODI's and T20 matches, England have a five match series against India. This will be the last chance England get to play in this format before travelling down under.
