The journey to Wembley has started

The new Emirates FA Cup season began on Saturday 7th August. 

News Ball has reports from some of the extra preliminary rounds from around the country.

West Didsbury & Chorlton 1-3 Avro

Avro won their first ever FA Cup game at their third attempt, defeating West Didsbury & Chorlton 3-1 thanks to a Louis Potts hat-trick. Avro had gone into this game having never played an away FA Cup game. Check out the report below from Greater Manchester Football.

Jersey Bulls score 10 in competition debut 

Jersey Bulls marked their FA Cup debut by racking up double figures against Horsham YMCA. This was also a club record.

Prestwich Heys 3 - 1  Litherland Remyca

Prestwich Heys got their season up and running with a 3-1 win over Litherland Remyca in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round at Adie Moran Park on Saturday.

Redcar Athletic 4 - 1 Hemsworth Miners Welfare

Redcar Athletic put in a dominant peformance against Hemsworth Miners Welfare to win 4-1 on their own FA Cup debut.

First half goals from Jordan Rivis and Isaac Walker, either side of an leveler from the visitors, ensured Athletic went in ahead at the break.

Walker and Clarkson, both products of The Steelmen’s reserves, scored in the second half to send Redcar into the next round.

Just the 18 goals as Spain and Switzerland progressed to the next round of Euro 2020 Spain 5 - 3 Croatia Spain qualified for the next round of Euro 2020 in dramatic fashion after beating Croatia in extra time.
