Scottish Premiership review

Let's look back at an interesting weekend of Scottish football

Celtic 6 - 0 Dundee

Kyogo Furuhashi scored three as Celtic thrashed Dundee to give Ange Postecoglou a fantastic first Scottish Premiership victory in front of 24,500 fan.

Despite a difficult and troubling start to life in Scotland, Postecoglou was given a warm reception from those allowed into the stadium as the Australian took charge of his first home league game.

Dundee United 1 - 0 Rangers

Rangers long unbeaten run is over! Jamie Robson's goal just after 60 minutes was enough to earn Thomas Courts his first league win as Dundee United manager and condemn Steven Gerrard's side to a first league defeat since losing to Hamilton  in March 2020.

Hibernian 3 - 0 Ross County

Hibernian joined Aberdeen and Hearts at the top of the league with Josh Doig playing his part in a comfortable win over Ross County.

Livingston 1-2 Aberdeen

It had looked like The Dons would have to settle for only a point after Teddy Jenks cancelled out the opener from former Aberdeen striker Bruce Anderson.

However, a blunder from Max Stryjek handed the visitors the three points as he lets Jack MacKenzie's shot slip through and over the line. Can Aberdeen keep up this great run of form?

 St Johnstone 1- 1 Motherwell

St Johnstone prepared for their Europa League second leg with Galatasaray by fighting out a draw with Motherwell. The 2021 Scottish Cup winners have picked up two points from their first games.

St Mirren 1 - 2 Heart of Midlothian

Hearts will finish the weekend top of the league after a 2-1 win away at St Mirren. After the match, Manager Robbie Neilson told the BBC that it was "only a good start" as they secured a sixth consecutive win of the season across all competitions. You can see some of the Hearts fan reaction below.
