Ahead of England's historic Euro 2020 final, we spoke with a number of people about their favourite football matches.

Finals, semi-finals and last day relegation battles are all mentioned here.

Treble Treble

Manchester United 2 - 1 Bayern Munich. 1999 Champions League final

On the 26th May 1999, Manchester United won the Champions League in rather dramatic circumstances. They sealed an historic Treble. Ryan Thomas said: "It was the greatest night of my life. Nothing has ever come close."

Wigan Athletic 1 - 0 Manchester City. 2013 FA Cup Final

Dave Whelan's dreams had come true. Wigan Athletic have won the FA Cup. Marcus Thompson, a Wigan fan and occasional contributor, told this blog: "You grew up as a Wigan fan not expecting to ever do or win anything. Getting to the Premier League in 2005 was great but this was another level entirely."

Oldham Athletic 4 - 3 Southampton. Oldham stay in the Premier League after a dramatic final day.

Oldham are now in the fourth tier of England but they were once in the Premier League. A dramatic final day in May 1993 gave them another season in the top flight.

Celtic 6 - 2 Rangers

A memorable Old Firm match for all Celtic fans. A news report at the time said: "A breathtaking Old Firm derby finally lived up to the hype which perpetually surrounds this fixture." It featured a memorable goal from Henrik Larsson. You can watch the highlights from the match below. Sit back and enjoy Celtic fans.

England 4 - 2 West Germany. 1966 World Cup Final

The day football really came home. Brian from West London attended the match. He told us: "It was just a wonderful afternoon. I was so happy for all the players involved.

"I just can't believe it's taken us 55 years for us to reach another final!"

Arsenal 4 - 0 Everton. Arsenal clinch 1998 Premier League title in style

Wenger's first great Arsenal side sealed their first trophy in style. A 4-0 win over Everton sealed their first championship since 1991 after a dramatic battle with Manchester United. A late goal from Tony Adams put the icing on the cake.

The best reaction to a remarkable night of football

Just the 18 goals as Spain and Switzerland progressed to the next round of Euro 2020 Spain 5 - 3 Croatia Spain qualified for the next round of Euro 2020 in dramatic fashion after beating Croatia in extra time. They had lead 3-1 before Croatia fought back in the late stages to give the game another 30 minutes. Goals from Morata and Oyarzabal sealed the win. Who won the Transfer Window?

The transfer window is closed until January 1st.  Who had the best window though? Were there any major losers? Manchester United United strengthened their defence with the signing of Varane and brought some extra quality with the signings of Jadon Sancho and the returning hero Cristiano Ronaldo. Critics would argue that they are still a world class defensive midfielder away from leading the charge in domestic and European competitions.
